Jim Baldwin
Derrell Wayne Baldwin Jr., was born March 12th 1996. Jim, as he was affectionately referred to, received his nickname from his great uncle after holding him for the first time calling him “Big Jim”. Knowledgeable and industrious are minimal characteristics to describe the best of Jim. After completing the Mississippi Youth Challenge Academy in December 2014 Jim explored several career options, but it was his interest in martial arts that led him to join a local Dojo. Unbelievably, before his first fight Jim made his earthly transition at twenty-two years of age, November 9th, 2018.

To know Jim, is to know love, peace, kindness, fellowship, all things that are good. There aren’t many men that have the wisdom that Jim had at an early age. I will make sure his Legacy lives on for generations to come.

The impact you had on my life will forever be written on my heart. You lived life and loved light. Now I live for the both of us.

Jim was a man of perseverance and love. Jim was outgoing and always kept a smile on his face no matter if it was a good day or bad. Jim loved his family. He had a heart of gold.
